Hotel Abner's Riccione

The hotel had heavy construction going on during our stay, we were not advised about this at booking nor again at check - in. the room given to us was right next to construction site and when we complained immediately after check-in due to very loud hammering at 5pm, we were advised, ' we are full' which was not correct. only after complaining again on day two were we moved to the other side of the building. not a very good experience! Hotels MUST advise guests when construction is occuring. Restaurant was closed and no amenities were available such as bicycles. only saving aspect was the room service staff that were very helpful.

I'm not sure how anyone could give this hotel less than 5 stars! Our group was from the US and from Italy and we were all extremely happy with everything! You can bring your fancy dress and heals or casual attire, elegant but not pretentious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from the front desk, the restaurant and the maids. They went out of their way to make a gorgeous birthday cake for our 3 year old. The food was delicious at every meal, even my picky Italian mother in-law was happy! The hotel was clean, well staffed, family friendly and always helpful and accommodating. Our room was very spacious, clean with the best closet and storage of any hotel I have ever stayed at anywhere. The bathroom was clean with a full tub and shower, shelves for toiletries, fluffy towels and an electrical plug for hair straighteners and such ( not common) The air conditioner was working fine even with 90 degrees outside. The location is unbeatable, directly on the beach without crossing a street! It's directly on the bike and walking paths which make it perfect for afternoon shopping and evening bike rides ( bikes included) Trust me when I say you will be very pleased with your stay here.
